Firecracker Slushies

The famous American Firecracker ice pops are very patriotic with their red, white and blue stripes, flavoured with cherry, lemonade and blue raspberry. Mix up this delicious and vibrant slushie version to celebrate 4th of July!

Boozy Slushies, Poptails and Ice Pops

For the blue raspberry slushie

30 ml/1 oz. blue curaçao

100 ml/3 1/3 oz. vodka

30 ml/1 oz. Chambord or other raspberry liqueur

100 ml/3 1/3 oz. clear sparkling lemonade

For the lemonade slushie

125 ml/4 oz. vodka

180 ml/6 oz. clear sparkling lemonade

Squeezed juice of 1 lemon

For the cherry slushie

125 ml/4 oz. vodka

180 ml/6 oz. cherry juice

To serve

3 fresh strawberries

3 freezer proof lidded containers

3 tall glasses

(Makes 3)

Mix together the liquids for each of the three slushie flavours and place them in separate freezer proof boxes. Cover with the lids and freeze overnight.

When you are ready to serve, use a fork to crush the ice mixtures to create a slushie texture.

Layer up the three slushies in each glass, starting with the blue, then the white, then the red. Garnish each glass with a sliced strawberry and serve straight away with straws for slurping and stirring. If you liked these, you'll love Hannah's Cosmopolitan Ice Pops!
