These blissful massage bars from Natural Cures and Remedies are easy to make and add a touch of luxury to your self-care routine. Massage bars should look, smell, and feel luxurious. Cocoa butter is beloved for its delicious chocolate scent, but you could also use sumptuous shea butter or mango butter. Use your favourite essential oil to create a scent you will love.
You'll need:
80 g beeswax
120 ml almond oil
80 g cocoa butter
1 teaspoon essential oil of your choice
Heat the beeswax, almond oil, and cocoa butter slowly a bain-marie or double boiler over a low heat until just melted. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly. Stir in the essential oil. Pour the mix into soap bar molds and let cool for about 2 hours, until hardened. Place in the freezer for a few minutes to make it easier to pop the bars out of the molds. To use, rub the massage bar onto the skin—the warmth of your body will immediately begin to melt the bar.
