Jackie Kearney

Jackie Kearney is the chef/proprietor behind The Hungry Gecko, serving Asian fusion street food up and down the country from her iconic trailer Barbarella. A finalist in BBC One's MasterChef 2011 and runner up for Best Main Dish at British Street Food Awards in 2012, her food passion lies with world street food, and vegan and vegetarian dining. 

In-between this busy schedule, Jackie works as a private chef, teaches cookery classes with Seasoned and writes cookbooks. Her first cookbook, Vegan Street Food, foodie travels from India to Indonesia, was published in September 2015 and was awarded the Best Book Award in the PETA Vegan Food Awards 2016. Her second book, My Vegan Travels, is out October 2017, filled with comfort food inspired by adventure.
